About the Artist
Working in mixed media, Christopher Johnson tells the story of an extraordinary life. A colorblind vandal who planted his artistic roots on the walls of New York City, Johnson is known as the creator of the Peter Pan Posse art collective and the infamous hip-hop group Team Facelift. In 2014, he received headlines and acclaim for his illegal performance at the closing night of Jeff Koons retrospective at the Whitney Museum. His original murals, graffiti, and canvasses demand attention and reject the mundane. Johnson studied fine art at the Pratt Institute. He lives and works in New York.
