Bridgette Duran uses painting as a foundation to bridge between spirituality and the acquisition of inner knowledge. Suffering from sleep paralysis for many years, she eventually learned to utilize the ability to switch between her conscious and subconscious minds to access the higher creative force. The process is very automatic, based on instinct rather than anything mapped out. She uses meditation as a tool to allow her subconscious to translate unseen energy onto canvas using color and form.
Based in Beverly Hills, Duran studied film and attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. She has worked in may creative fields such as fashion and interior design before moving to Paris to take painting courses at Academie de Port Royale.
